Who makes CMSHands
CMSHands is a plugin for your WP dashboard and the service it connects to. We build both, and we test every example on this site ourselves.
Needs WP 6.3 to 7.1, PHP 8.0 or newer, and an administrator login. One site per install.
The download is a plugin. Turning it on connects your site to cmshands.com and adds 3 small rescue files. Deleting the plugin removes them and everything it stored. What we send
- info@cmshands.com
- The plugin
- CMSHands Connector, licensed GPLv2 or later. It updates itself from our site.
- Our test site
- Quillmoor Pottery, a WP site we run to try every task before we write about it. The pottery is made up. The runs are real.
What it is
A plugin and a service. The plugin puts a chat in your WP dashboard and adds 3 small rescue files. Our service runs the assistant and checks your site once a day on the free plan. One site per install.
What it isn't
We're not an agency, and we don't host your site. CMSHands is not affiliated with WordPress, WooCommerce or any brand compared on this site.
Who reads the chat
A person at CMSHands can read the conversation. What the plugin sends us lists the rest.
Who approves repairs
When a site with CMSHands breaks, we prepare a fix. A person at CMSHands approves it before it runs.
How we check what this site says
Every run on these pages happened on our test site, and the chat's words are copied as they were. Long runs leave whole steps out and say so. A broken site here is one we broke on purpose, and the page says so.

Questions about your site: get help. A person reads every message.
A run from our test site, as it happened
You ask
You type what you want in the chat in your WP dashboard. You don't have to say where in the footer the hours go, or find the footer first.
Add our opening hours to the footer: Tue–Sat, 10am to 5pm.
You see it first
It looked at the theme, read the footer and came back with a card: a picture of the footer with the new line. It chose the spot under the studio address. Nothing on the site has changed yet.
It's ready for you to review — the hours sit under the Studio address in the footer, and the phone view wraps cleanly.

Check it on a phone
The same card shows the footer on a phone. Its Now tab shows the footer as it is today, and Code shows the exact lines that change. Take your time: nothing happens until you press.
You press the button
Only now does it change the site. It saved the new footer, read it back to check, and the card turned green with an Undo link.

It's on the site
The test site's footer right after, as a visitor sees it. The hours are the new line under the address. The rest of the footer is as it was.
Done. I checked afterwards, and it now says "Tue–Sat, 10am to 5pm".

Undo, if you want
One press of Undo took the hours out again. It checked the footer and showed what it put back: the added lines, in red, are gone.
Undone. I checked afterwards, and it's back the way it was.
