Add a row of footer links in WP by asking
A free plugin adds a chat to your WP dashboard. Ask for footer links to Workshops, About and Contact. See them first, press the button, undo in one click.
Works on block themes: you'll see Appearance › Editor in your dashboard. How to tell

Needs WP 6.3 to 7.1, PHP 8.0 or newer, and an administrator login. One site per install.
The download is a plugin. Turning it on connects your site to cmshands.com and adds 3 small rescue files. Deleting the plugin removes them and everything it stored. What we send

- Nothing changes without your OK
- Undo in one click, or a warning first
- No account, no password to share
What it does here
- It adds a row of links to your footer, in the same small text as the lines around it.
- Before you press, the card shows your footer now and after the change.
- Undo takes the links out again, and it checks the footer afterwards.
More it does here (2)
- Each word links to its page: in our test run, Workshops, About and Contact went to their own pages.
- The card says where the change lands: “shows on every page”.
How to add a footer menu in WordPress yourself
Checked on WP 7.1, Oct 14, 2026
1. In your dashboard, go to Appearance › Editor. No Editor there? Your theme is an older one: see the note under these steps.
2. Click Patterns, then Footer. Click the small picture of your footer on the right to open it.
3. If a welcome box appears, press Get started. Click at the end of the line your menu should go under, and press Enter.
4. Type /navigation and press Enter. WP adds a menu block, often filled with the menu your header already uses.
5. Open Settings, the square icon beside Save. Beside the menu's name, open the options and choose Create new Menu.
6. In the empty menu, click +. Type Workshops in the Search or type URL box and pick the page.
7. Repeat the last step for each page you want in the menu, such as About and Contact.
8. Press Save. WP lists 2 changes, the footer and the new menu. Press Save again.
No Editor, only Appearance › Customize? Then your theme is an older (classic) one. Its menus are in Appearance › Menus, where you choose where each menu shows. CMSHands can't change classic-theme menus or footers yet.
A menu block shows a menu that WP stores once. If your footer uses the same menu as your header, changing a link in one changes the other. That's why step 5 makes a new menu.
Why it won't wreck your site
- Nothing changes until you press the button. Every change comes as a card that names it. Nothing happens until you press the button or Not now.
- You see it first. Old words in red, new words in green. For layout, before-and-after pictures on a computer and a phone.
- One click undoes it. When something can't be undone, like deleting a page or a plugin, the card says so before you press.
What it won't do here
- Your saved WP menusIt adds links as a line in your footer. We haven't tested changing a saved menu, like your header's, so this page doesn't promise it.
- Dropdown menusWe haven't tested adding a dropdown under a header menu item. You can: in the menu's Settings, open an item's options and choose Add submenu link.
- Older (classic) themesIt edits footers on block themes only. A classic theme keeps its footer and menus in its own files and settings, and it can't change those yet.
- Page-builder footersIf Elementor, Divi or another page builder made your footer, it can't change it. A page builder is a plugin that lays out pages its own way.
