Change your WP footer by asking
A free plugin adds a chat to your WP dashboard. Type “Add our opening hours to the footer.” See the new footer first, press the button, undo in one click.
Works on block themes: you'll see Appearance › Editor in your dashboard. How to tell
- Nothing changes without your OK
- Undo in one click, or a warning first
- No account, no password to share
Needs WP 6.3 to 7.1, PHP 8.0 or newer, and an administrator login. One site per install.
The download is a plugin. Turning it on connects your site to cmshands.com and adds 3 small rescue files. Deleting the plugin removes them and everything it stored. What we send
Add our opening hours to the footer: Tue–Sat, 10am to 5pm.

Watch it do this on a real site
You ask
You type what you want in the chat in your WP dashboard. You don't have to say where in the footer the hours go, or find the footer first.
Add our opening hours to the footer: Tue–Sat, 10am to 5pm.
You see it first
It looked at the theme, read the footer and came back with a card: a picture of the footer with the new line. It chose the spot under the studio address. Nothing on the site has changed yet.
It's ready for you to review — the hours sit under the Studio address in the footer, and the phone view wraps cleanly.

Check it on a phone
The same card shows the footer on a phone. Its Now tab shows the footer as it is today, and Code shows the exact lines that change. Take your time: nothing happens until you press.
You press the button
Only now does it change the site. It saved the new footer, read it back to check, and the card turned green with an Undo link.

- Checking the change

It's on the site
The test site's footer right after, as a visitor sees it. The hours are the new line under the address. The rest of the footer is as it was.
Done. I checked afterwards, and it now says "Tue–Sat, 10am to 5pm".

Undo, if you want
One press of Undo took the hours out again. It checked the footer and showed what it put back: the added lines, in red, are gone.
Undone. I checked afterwards, and it's back the way it was.

How to edit the footer in WordPress yourself
Checked on WP 7.1, Oct 11, 2026
1. In your dashboard, go to Appearance › Editor. No Editor there? Your theme is an older one: see the note under these steps.

2. Click Patterns, between Navigation and Templates.

3. Click Footer, below Header. A small preview of your footer shows on the right: click it to open the footer.

4. If a welcome box appears, press Get started. Then click the words you want to change and type the new ones.

5. To add a line, click at the end of the line above it, press Enter and type the new one.

6. Press Save at the top right. If the footer is all you changed, WP saves it at once, with no second step.

7. Visit your site in a new tab and scroll down. The new line is in the footer of every page that uses it.

No Editor, only Appearance › Customize? Then your theme is an older (classic) one. Its footer text often sits in Appearance › Widgets, in Customize, or on the theme's own settings page. CMSHands can't change any of those yet.
A line you add yourself gets your theme's normal text size, so it can come out bigger than the lines around it, as in steps 5 and 7. In our test run, CMSHands gave the new hours the same small size as the address above them.

| Changes | 3 to try it | 10 every month | Coming. Nothing costs money until you choose it. |

Undo a change within 24 hours and it doesn't count. If you haven't added an email after 30 days, only crash rescue stays on until you add one. A change is one card you approve. A job that touches several pages or plugins is several changes.
Questions
Can I change the header the same way?
Yes, on a block theme. The header is the same kind of shared piece: edit it in Appearance › Editor › Patterns › Header, or ask for the change in the chat.
Is it free?
To start, yes: 3 changes with no account, then 10 a month once you add your email. Questions are free, up to 30 a day.
