Needs WP 6.3 to 7.1, PHP 8.0 or newer, and an administrator login. One site per install.
The download is a plugin. Turning it on connects your site to cmshands.com and adds 3 small rescue files. Deleting the plugin removes them and everything it stored. What we send

Ready for you to review — the page's title is the big heading, and the Book now button points to your Contact page.
A real run on our test site, Oct 14, 2026. From asking to done, it took 34 seconds. Go through it step by step

You ask
You type what goes on the page and where the button should go. The chat sits in your WP dashboard.

Make a landing page called Autumn Workshop: a big heading, the Saturday class, $45, and a Book now button to Contact.
It asks first
It looks at your theme's colors and sizes and finds your Contact page. About 32 seconds after you ask, it shows a card. The card names the page; it doesn't show it. Nothing is on your site yet.

Quillmoor Pottery, WP 7.1.3, Twenty Twenty-Four. Step times count from the moment the request was sent.
- It writes a new page from one message: a heading, the price and a button.
- It links the button to a page you already have. In our test run, it found the Contact page.
- Undo takes the page down again, and it checks afterwards that it's gone.
More it does here (2)
- It uses your theme's own colors and text sizes, so the page looks like the rest of your site.
- The page gets its own address, such as /autumn-workshop/, ready to share in an email or an ad.
How to create a landing page in WordPress yourself
Checked on WP 7.1, Oct 14, 2026
1. In your WP dashboard (the screens you log in to at yoursite.com/wp-admin), go to Pages › Add Page.
2. If a Choose a pattern box opens, pick a ready-made layout such as RSVP landing. Or press Close to start blank.
3. Click Add title and type the page's name, for example Autumn Workshop.
4. Press Enter. Where it says Type / to choose a block, type /heading, press Enter, then type your big headline.
5. Press Enter for a new line and type two or three sentences about your offer, with the price.
6. Press Enter, type /buttons and press Enter. Type the words for the button, such as Book now.
7. With the button selected, click the link icon in the small toolbar above it. Type Contact and pick your Contact page.
8. Press Publish at the top right. A box asks Are you ready to publish? Press Publish again.
9. Open the page's address in a new tab, such as yoursite.com/autumn-workshop, and check it on your phone too.
No Editor, only Appearance › Customize? Then your theme is an older (classic) one. Pages › Add Page works the same way, but the layouts on offer come from your theme. We haven't tried CMSHands on a landing page with one yet.
In our test run, the page's name, Autumn Workshop, became the big heading. Twenty Twenty-Four prints it at the top of every page. Want other words up there? Hide the page title, then ask for a heading.
Why it won't wreck your site
- Nothing changes until you press the button. Every change comes as a card that names it. Nothing happens until you press the button or Not now.
- One click undoes it. When something can't be undone, like deleting a page or a plugin, the card says so before you press.
What it won't do here
- No picture of the new page before you pressThe card, the box in the chat you press to approve, names the page but doesn't show it. Pressing publishes it: open it, read it, undo if it's wrong.
- It writes the words itselfIn our test run it wrote “$45 a session”, words we never gave it. Read every line before you share the page.
- Pictures and logosIt can't upload a picture. It adds headings, words and buttons; add an Image block yourself once the page is live.
- Page-builder pagesIf Elementor, Divi or another page builder made your pages, it can't edit them. A page builder is a plugin that lays out pages its own way.
Questions
How do I create a landing page in WordPress?
Go to Pages › Add Page, pick a layout or start blank, then add a heading, a few lines and a button. Press Publish twice and it's live. On a block theme, a pattern like RSVP landing gives you a finished layout to change. The steps above go through it in order.
Can I make a landing page in WordPress for free?
Yes. The block editor that comes with WP has headings, buttons and ready-made layouts, so you don't need to pay for anything. Your theme decides which layouts you get. Twenty Twenty-Four, a free theme, offers Newsletter landing and RSVP landing when you add a page.
Do I need a landing page plugin?
No, not for a page with a heading, some text and a button. A landing-page plugin helps when you want things your theme doesn't have, like special forms or testing two versions. Start with the block editor and add a plugin only if you miss something.
Why does my page name show twice?
Your theme prints the page title above your content, so a big heading with the same words shows it twice. Open Settings, change Template to Page No Title, or hide the page title another way.
Can CMSHands add pictures to my landing page?
No. It can't upload a picture, so add one yourself with an Image block once the page is live. It writes the headings, words and buttons, and it can put a button on a page you already have.
Is it free?
To start, yes: 3 changes with no account, then 10 a month once you add your email. Questions are free, up to 30 a day.
